What seduced the public when the Tonale concept SUV was unveiled in 2019 was its looks. Although no official information was released on the production version, an internal source mentioned by Motor1.com believes that the final version will retain most of the design of the concept SUV.

According to CarBuzz.com, however, the Alfa Romeo Tonale is more likely to be available with a turbocharged two-litre thermal engine combined with a 48V mild hybrid system. Thus outfitted, the 2021 or 2022 Tonale would offer a combined output of around 330 horsepower.
Hence, the technical data around the Tonale is still very unclear. But if we look at the engine lineup of the 2021 Stelvio, we can expect performance but also highly technological engines. Moreover, the hypothesis of a hybrid version as outlined above is quite likely. Indeed, the 2019 Tonale Concept was already using this type of engine to move.

The interior should also be similar to that of the Tonale Concept. At least that's what CarBuzz.com suggests.
If that's the case, we should therefore be entitled to a sleek but very Italian interior, with among other things, oblique lines and round air vents. The site also predicts that the materials used will be of the highest quality. The same interior should also feature the latest technology in terms of support and connectivity.

All in all, the new Italian SUV promises to be an exceptional vehicle. Interior and exterior styling, performance that should overshadow the segment's leaders, and advanced technologies: this is what seems to prefigure all the information currently available.
According to the Spanish-language website Motor.es, the vehicle is scheduled to debut in the summer of 2021 as a 2022 model year, and to be launched in Europe in November.
